Prof. Dr. Surya Bahadur Karki is the 1st person to introduce Naturopathy, yoga & massage in tourism sector. He was born in 1949 AD in Taplejung district & settled in the Sunsari District in search of Education. Meanwhile he was suffering from various diseases and was in a state of despair. Later he got an opportunity to participate in the Yoga & Naturopathy camp held at Red Cross society on 1978 AD. After attending that camp and following yoga and naturopathy his health condition started to get better, then he entered the field of Yoga , Massage and Naturopathy.

After studying/teaching about Yoga , Naturopathy & Massage in the country and abroad, he was able to get Naturopathy recognized by the Government of Nepal and also to promote Nepal at the international level through Massage, Yoga and Naturopathy. Out of the 7 courses developed in 1997 AD under the joint initiative of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training Council and the Nepal Yoga and Naturopathy Association-:

Yoga Therapy Instructor Training, Short & Long term Massage Therapy Training and 6-month Rural Naturopathy Worker Training are being conducted with the approval of CTEVT- Government Of Nepal. Students are provided with support for all three trainings as per their textbook requirements.

Prof. Dr S. B  karki is the founder of Institute of Natural Medicine. He  has dedicated his 50 years in  Yoga and Naturopathy.  Doctor karki is the pioneer in this field.  He is a single man who is still devoting his life for growth  of yoga , massage and naturopathy. Till now he is  struggling  for the own  council of of Yoga and  Naturopathy. Doctor karki has trained many yoga teacher and naturopathy therapist whereas  his students are successful running their  yoga school inside and outside the country. Dr karki with his experienced team of naturopathic doctor and yoga gurus will lead you through the course and share their knowledge among you..

He leads a skillful team of teachers and trainers in the areas of  Yoga, Naturopathy and Complementary Medicines such as Yoga, Nature cure, Therapeutic Massage, Yoga / Meditation, Acupressure, Acupuncture, Reiki, and Reflexology

Dr. Karki has also trained (Yoga and Therapeutic Massage) more than 5000 Nepali students and 1500 International students. Most of the graduates of INM run their own spas / therapy centers in locations such as Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dharan, Chitwan etc.  International students who graduated from INM come from places such as Germany, France, Belgium, United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and other Countries.

“Professor Doctor Surya Bahadur karki” the 1st  Person  who Introduce Naturopathy, yoga & Massage in tourism has two sons. The younger son Dr. Dharma Raj Karki (BNYS) is a Naturopathic Doctor & the Elder son Mr Nabin Karki is a Senior Professional Massage Teacher of Nepal.

Since the age of 6 Master Nabin used to give massage to his father. His father  is the first massage teacher who guided him and played a fundamental role to develop his skills. On 2004 he was send off to abroad for further massage therapy education. After returning back to Nepal he started helping his father working as assistant massage teacher. As time passed Master Nabin started giving solo massage training. In past years he was teaching and practicing Therapeutic massage in rest of the massage school, then later he decided to fully engaged in his own Massage academy. And now his Students are providing massage course in those massage schools. After many years of teaching he realised that in order to raise the level  of massage therapist it is required to raise the standard & quality of massage teachers. About one thousands students  already had  got training by him and they are running their own SPA- Massage Studio / working in Nepal & overseas.  

Mr Nabin is also known as the 2nd generation of Professor Dr Karki Family and the 1st massage teacher of this 2nd generation. He is also the most demandable as well as popular massage teacher in Nepal.
